Concert - The Picturebooks - Europe/UK Tour 2025

German duo known for their garage sound, The Picturebooks, will be coming to Poland in April! The Picturebooks combine elements of blues, rock and punk rock, and have become famous for songs such as 'Zero Fucks Given' and 'Beach Seduction'. The artists will play at Warsaw's Hydrozagadka on 9 April. Before them on stage will be the duo The DeadBeatz, a combination of punk and blues! Characterised by [...]

They are characterised by life on the road - they often travel on motorbikes and organise their tours themselves. Their music and lifestyle have a lot in common with the motorbike subculture and the classic 'road trip' style.Fynn Claus Grabke (vocals and guitar) and Philipp Mirtschink (drums) founded their band in the early 2010s. Both members are self-taught, which gives their music a distinctive, somewhat raw and 'unpolished' style.

The Picturebooks' debut album, Imaginary Horse, was released in 2014 and features a raw, intense sound. The album's style combines elements of heavy blues rock, garage rock and stoner rock to create a dark but energetic atmosphere. The German duo recorded the album in a unique, minimalist way, dispensing with drum cymbals and using slide guitar, which adds authenticity to their sound.

Some of The Major Minor Collective's recent albums have featured guest appearances from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm and Dennis Lyxzén of Refused. The Picturebooks never cease to amaze; Mirtschink replaced cymbals with metal chains on one of their tracks, adding a 'tribal-desert' feel to their music.

The Picturebooks have earned a reputation as a band that relies on originality rather than following trends, creating music that is more emotional than technical, and it is this authenticity that has earned them a place on the world rock scene.

Two musicians, three instruments, zero guitars: The DeadBeatz are the most condensed blues-punk band in the world, with the energy of two V8 engines! David Karlinger handles the drums mainly with his feet while also playing harmonica, and Bernie Miller is responsible for the double bass and lead vocals. The result is a direct, groovy mix of blues, punk and a pinch of rockabilly.

Although every one of their concert audiences has danced until they were out of breath so far, the pandemic rockers have focused on producing a new album. 'Meet Us At Dawn' is the title of their longplayer, released in November 2021 on punk rock label SBÄM Records. The album stands out not only for its bright red and blue cover, but also for its variety of sounds. You will be able to hear tracks from this album live on 9 April. You can't miss it!
