Miastokoty - meeting with Jacek Taran

"Miastokoty" is a story led in a restless rock'n'roll rhythm about the fate of a group of friends of secondary school age. They dream of escaping the dullness of the provincial town and achieving success. However, the transition into adulthood turns out to be more difficult and painful than they expect, and the city itself, with its shameful history, becomes the villain of this novel. Roma themes are intertwined here with the history of a Jewish community whose existence has been erased from the collective memory. The ghost of Papuša, the Roma poet, appears in the mist at the edge of the forest. Love and dreams are put to the test and youthful enthusiasm struggles against the embarrassing everyday life.
