Author meeting with Joanna Kuciel-Frydryszak

We would like to invite you to a meeting with Joanna Kuciel-Frydryszak, author of the publication entitled "Chłopki: opowieść o naszych babkach" (Peasants: a story about our grandmothers). "Chłopki: opowieść o naszych babkach". The meeting will take place on 22 May 2025 (Thursday) at 6 p.m. in the Main Library, 55 Jana Pawła II Street in Piaseczno (ground floor, auditorium). The meeting will be chaired by Magdalena Żerek.

There is an induction loop in the auditorium, the room is architecturally accessible. Joanna Kuciel-Frydryszak - born in Wrocław, a Polish philologist by education, a journalist by profession, for years connected with the Wrocław press. Author of two biographical books: about Antoni Słonimski ("Słonimski. Heretik na ambonie") and Kazimiera Iłłłakowiczówna ("Iłła"), as well as the bestselling first book in Poland about pre-war servants ("Służące do wszystkiego") and a historical reportage "Chłopki", which was published in May 2023, reached a record circulation of 300 thousand copies and was recognised by the largest Polish media as the most important book of 2023.
