Concerts of ethnic music stars, travel meetings, Afrykamera cinema, electro Afrobeats zone, drum workshops, great people and a lot of additional attractions. African Beats is a festival of musical roots, a celebration of openness and tolerance. Just 30 km from Warsaw, on a picturesque ranch in Kawęczyn, full of animals and nature. In front of us is one of the most atmospheric Polish festivals, where the space is filled with the sounds of djembe and Saharan bluse. Let's Groove Together!

AFRICAN BEATS 2025 CONCERTS

Sona Jobarteh (The Gambia) - the first ever female griot to play the kora, combining West African tradition with classical elegance and a contemporary sound.

The FRA! (Ghana) - the band combines afrobeat, highlife, afrofunk and rock to create danceable and fresh music inspired by legends, with which they have toured Europe, Morocco and WOMEX 2022, among others.

Lubiana (Belgium) - a young multi-instrumentalist and singer with Cameroonian roots, combining soul, African grooves and a stunning voice.

Moh! Kouyaté (Guinea) - a guitarist and vocalist who blends mandingue blues with Parisian funk and reggae with ease.

Etran de L'Aïr (Niger) - a guitar tornado from the desert, masters of Tuareg rock and dance trance from Agadez.

Kader Tarhanine (Algeria) - an icon of the new wave of Tamasha music, poetic ballads and the hypnotic rhythm of Saharan songs.

Manu Sissoko (France) - French singer-songwriter who has spent years exploring and interpreting the richness of African musical traditions, particularly those associated with Mali.

Eusebia (Madagascar) - ambassador of salegy - a dance music genre from the north of Madagascar, whose dynamic pulse and sunny sounds will get everyone dancing. .

The Afronauts (Poland/Morocco) - an energetic fusion of afrobeat, psychedelia and jazz from the Krakow scene led by a Moroccan vocalist.

Fanika Fare (Poland) - a line-up formed by enthusiasts of African culture. The band's main source of inspiration is the music of West Africa.

We would also like to invite you to the Travel Zone during the African Beats Festival. There will be performances by travellers who will talk about their travels in the Black Continent. DRUMMING WORKSHOPS
Join us for djembe drum workshops at two levels, beginner and intermediate. During the class you will learn the techniques of playing African djembe drums. We will focus on developing playing technique, learning traditional African rhythms and building arrangements. We will also include elements of solo improvisation, and the whole experience will be a lot of fun.
AFRICAN DANCE WORKSHOP
You are cordially invited to a traditional West African dance workshop with live drum accompaniment! You will experience an energetic dance full of expression and joy. The workshop is open to all, regardless of level. African dance is a shared celebration of life and an exchange of energy that brings the community together. Many steps are inspired by everyday activities and emphasise the qualities of the dancers, such as strength, agility, speed or elegance. The dance is becoming increasingly popular around the world, teaching African folklore and rhythms. Bring comfortable clothes and water. Dance barefoot.
VOCAL WORKSHOP ON AFRICAN SONGS
In this workshop we will explore the beauty and richness of polyphonic songs from different corners of Africa. The programme will include traditional songs from West Africa, including Congo, Benin, Senegal and Mali, as well as from South Africa in the Zulu and xhosa languages. The workshop is open to all, regardless of age or musical level. The workshop programme and methodology are flexible and adaptable to the needs of the participants, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to fully engage and develop.

Ecstatic Dance is a movement and dance practice in which you indulge in joyful, authentic, spontaneous movement. You invite your body to move, relax, stretch, play, improvise or freely express itself. Building a special relationship with your body through this. Releasing your wildness. This practice supports the free expression of yourself and your emotions.
THE AFRICAN MARKET
Exhibitors with African handicrafts. African food zone, drinks, goods of all kinds. Cosmetics, clothing, jewellery. A unique and inimitable assortment will be provided by 20 carefully selected exhibitors, the full list of which will be announced soon. The African Market will be a great highlight of our Festival.

The Yoga and Meditation class on Saturday and Sunday mornings is a space to come together in movement that guides the breath. Yoga is a massage of love you give yourself, resulting in a relaxed and blissful body and a crisp and calm mind. In the yoga practice led by Beata, you will find space for both following your intuition, lightness and gentleness, as well as strength, grounding and decisiveness. The yoga practice will conclude with a meditation session.

It is a zone that will envelop us throughout the festival with a relaxing and therapeutic aura, where you can not only have a solid rest, but also go deep into yourself.

Whole families are invited to the African Beats Festival. We will prepare a special zone for children, where instructors will carry out animations, games and movement games. The programme includes drumming workshops for the youngest and fairy-tale and theatre workshops.The prograime includes the African Concert for Children "Who lived in Baobab?". - Music Play

We have prepared a sports zone for our festival goers, where we will be able to play football, volleyball and ping-pong. We are also planning to organise a mini football tournament, which will take place on Saturday morning and last until the afternoon.

A special area for tents and campervan entry. We provide beautiful, picturesque surroundings, access to the catering area and all festival attractions, fully equipped with sanitary area, showers and security. Cars and campervans can enter the camping area. Space for one tent or camper on the site is an additional cost of PLN 50.
