The Franciszek Wybrańczyk Sinfonia Varsovia Swojemu Miastu Festival is the orchestra's musical gift to the citizens of Warsaw. It was first held in 2001 on the initiative of the long-standing director of Sinfonia Varsovia, Franciszek Wybrańczyk. For a long time, the ensemble under his direction did not have its own seat, and the musicians of Sinfonia Varsovia gave concerts abroad much more often than in their home city. This is how the idea of Sinfonia Varsovia undertaking a unique tour of different districts of Warsaw, playing concerts especially for Varsovians and Varsovian women, was born. Since Sinfonia Varsovia's headquarters are located at 272 Grochowska Street, many of the festival's concerts also take place there, enriching musical life on the right bank of the Vistula.
