Based on true events, the story of a secret agent who spent eight years infiltrating left-wing circles sympathetic to ETA. The young policewoman Mónika is to infiltrate the structures of the Basque organisation in order to pass on information to the authorities about planned attacks. Although the inexperienced agent's success is doubted by her superiors themselves, she manages to make contact. Her flat becomes the hideout of two ETA members. The most difficult mission of her life begins - she must pass on information to the police without arousing the suspicion of the terrorists, who will not hesitate to kill her.

'Agent' is not only a gripping racial thriller with dramatic twists and turns. It is also the moving story of a young woman who chooses to sacrifice almost a decade of her life for the good of the country - a time when most of her peers are partying, travelling and experiencing first loves. Playing Mónika, Carolina Yuste precisely wins the loneliness and doubts of the leading, double life character. She won the Goya Award for Best Leading Actress for her performance.
