SHAMA
duo, creating music on the borderline of soul, funk and Polish nostalgia. Together they compose, write lyrics and record in their home studio. Their songs are based on the sound of live instruments and a warm voice. Basia Tomaszewska (vocals, bass) and Jimi Bachniak (guitar, production) started their musical collaboration back in 2015 in a blues band.
The specially prepared concert arrangements are played live by an expanded line-up with a light, funky energy. In addition to club concerts, shama has performed on the stages of festivals including Męskie Granie, Slot Art Festival and Great September. In the summer, the band toured Poland with their famous camper van, playing their songs under the banner of the Męskie Granie festival.
Playing 2023.
Shama unveils new material and a refreshed sound on debut album. The single 'mona melody' has attracted the attention of listeners from all over the world, playing on foreign and international playlists.
SUMMER MUSIC STAGE
Young, intriguing Polish music in a summer and acoustic edition. Atmospheric and intimate concerts performed by acclaimed young musicians who have a long and interesting artistic road ahead of them.
In special minimalist arrangements and the cosy surroundings of a literary bar, we immerse ourselves in close encounters with sounds and words. Because the concert series features artists for whom, beyond the sound layer, it is the word that counts.
The series is curated by LESKI, a producer, vocalist and composer with a sensitive ear and a heart wide open to everything interesting and noteworthy in new music.
