About the artist:
Andrzej S. Grabowski
Polish-American visual artist. Born in Szczecin in 1950. Painter, graphic artist, stage designer, curator and educator. Graduated from the State Secondary School of Visual Arts in Tarnów (1970), and from the Faculty of Painting (in the work of Professor Jonasz Stern) of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (1976) and the Postgraduate Stage Design Study (1977). Biography in Wh 's Who, 1988, GB. Distinguished Cultural Activist. Holder of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
in 2020, Member of ZPAP until 2024. Between 1977 and 2024 he participated in 23 solo exhibitions and 149 group exhibitions in Poland, Europe and the USA.
He has been teaching art education for 30 years. He has curated more than 130 national and international plein-air and painting exhibitions. In the 1980s, he created set and costume designs for choreographer Marian Żak's theatre "Silva Rerum" and ballet films for the Music Editorial Office of the Polish Television.
He is the creator of the costumes and set design for the film about Anna German, 'Eurydydyki płczące'.
While in the USA, he designed sets and costumes from 1988 to 2000 for the Whitman Theatre, Lincoln Center, Washington Square Church, among others.
He has participated in exhibitions of paintings and prints: New York, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Tokyo, etc. He is the creator of a series of films entitled. "Senses of Art Past and Present" and a series of 36 artistic and educational meetings "Senses of Art" at the King John III Palace Museum in Wilanów from 2007 to 2017.

In 2025, he celebrates 50 years of creative work.
