Year of Tadeusz Sygietyński in Mazovia
Tadeusz Sygietyński, founder of the "Mazowsze" ensemble, has been declared Patron of the Year 2025 by the Mazowieckie Voivodship Parliament!
In the year of the 70th anniversary of his death and the 75th anniversary of the first "Mazowsze" concert, we would like to bring his figure and work closer - both to the people of Mazowsze and to audiences throughout Poland and abroad.
Tadeusz Sygietyński was able to transform folk melodies into true stage masterpieces - preserving their character, but giving them a new, artistic dimension. It is thanks to him that the rhythms of mazur, oberek or kujawiak have become part of the national cultural heritage, resounding on the world's stages. On this occasion, we have prepared a series of events dedicated to him - and today we invite you to one of them:
Concert "Tadeusz Sygietyński in memoriam"
An exceptional concert in the Chamber Hall at the Karolinska Palace - a place that has accompanied both the rehearsals and the first concerts of the young 'Mazowszaks' since the ensemble's inception. The programme, based on Tadeusz Sygietyński's compositions for choir and piano, will evoke memories of the ensemble's founder and become a beautiful start to the week.
