It is not possible to draw an element from minus one, but without this number there is no theory of relativity, no transformation of matter into energy, no atomic bomb....

Hemar's comedy has nothing in common with a scientific treatise in stage form. Rather, it is a morality play in which the author poses the question: what is morality, where are its limits, is there more good or evil in man, which exist in each of us regardless of political beliefs, nationality and religion.

Written in the mid-1960s in exile, far away from Poland, the play has not lost its relevance, which is why the actors decided to stage it in the homeland of Marian Hemar - the brilliant creator of almost 3,000 songs, hundreds of poems, RWE columns and several dramas. The element of minus one is his last.
