Organised by the Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera, the International Stanislaw Moniuszko Vocal Competition is the largest vocal competition in Poland. It was created in 1992 by Maria Fołtyn - a star of opera stages, a director, but also a promoter of Stanislaw Moniuszko's work.

Every three years, young artists from all over the world gather in Warsaw to present their talent in front of eminent representatives of the music world, and success here becomes an important step towards an international career for many of them.
