A unique exhibit is the Panorama of Zyrardow from 1899, showing the factory settlement divided into quarters according to the architectural trends of the time. It was donated to the Museum in 1969 by Zakłady Przemysłu Lniarskiego. The 367-cm-long and 140-cm-high panorama was commissioned by the factory's owners to add splendour to the Zyrardow stand at the 1900 Paris World's Fair. The panorama, signed 'Eckert Pflug, Kunstverlag Leipzig - Munchen', shows a general view of the city in perspective. Below, in five shots (two rectangles, a circle, a rhombus and an oval) and enlarged, are the most important buildings of the Żyrardów factory settlement, i.e. the cantor, hospital, kindergarten, factory schools and a fragment of the factory. The watercolour is framed in passe - partout and wooden frames with metal decorative elements. Placed in the lobby of the Museum, the panorama is the most admired and carefully studied exhibit. It allows all visitors to learn about the urban form of the town at the end of the nineteenth century and to compare it with today's buildings in Zyrardow.
